The Story
The second piece in the Tree Swallow trio, "A Shift in the Air," captures the moment between stillness and action. Following the quiet sanctuary of Early Light, this piece documents a sudden awakening.
Perched along the coastal area Metro Vancouver, the swallow is depicted stretched thin and on alert, its gaze pulled sharply toward an unseen point just out of frame. The painting explores the unseen currents that dictate life in the wild, being the subtle changes in wind, sound, or shadow that demand immediate presence. It is a study of heightened awareness and intuition, reflecting that universal human experience of sensing a transition before it fully arrives, poised and ready for whatever comes next.
