"Calm Contemplation" is the first piece in my kingfisher trio, featuring a kingfisher perched on a branch, gazing into the distance. The subtle, blended background represents an expansive, undefined space, reflecting the bird’s quiet reflection.
This painting emerged from a deeply emotional time for me. Like the bird, I was in a state of contemplation, trying to make sense of a vast, unseen world. The bird’s isolation resonated with my own, yet there was a sense of connection, a shared wonder about what lies beyond our immediate understanding. This piece invites you to find solace in that pause, in the mystery of what comes next.
In tranquil hues of blue, brown and green,
A kingfisher poised, so serene.
With patience keen, it waits, it yearns,
For the perfect moment, it discerns.
In ripples dance, beneath the sky,
It spies its prey with eagle eye.
With grace and speed, it strikes so swift,
A fleeting moment, a precious gift.
Oh kingfisher, in colors bright,
Teach us patience, teach us might.
To wait for dreams with steady gaze,
And seize the moment, all of our days.
